How delightfully rich one's mind can be

Hummmm,

The truth:
getting started with blogging can leave the mind a tad confused. I am determined to figure this out, become one with the blog and enjoy it.

The challenge:
keeping the mind focused on this first blog, complete it with joy in my thoughts, laugh at myself for taking this on, and start living it.

The goals:
figure out how to put on some nice heading pictures, fancy up the site with what feels good and enjoy doing it.

Wow!!! we just had an earthquake, really, no joke, should that be a sign of what is to come. I have to check the USGS site to see what the magnitude was. Live on the Big Island is never dull, shakes up things occasionally and the telephone is ringing off the hook, friends wanting to know if we felt it.

Retirement and what is that about anyway

This is the beginning of a new phase in my life and blogging is part of that change. Retirement started for me on Feb. 1 this year. I worked at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park for some 27 years or so. I strated this blog several months ago, but didn't do anything to get it going, now it is time to launch this blog thing.
I still have to figure out pictures and how to add them, get some nice this and that to make it my own, that will come soon, I hope.
For now, it is a new beginning for me, I want to have fun with it.
